Robert Kushner is one of the founders of the Pattern and Decoration movement. He went on to paint the human figure, and since 1986 has turned his focus to the flora of his surroundings. This will be Robert Kushner's third trip to the Hui and the second time to work on new prints in the Print Studio.
Kushner has been working with flowers and plants as subject matter for his paintings and prints for thirty years. Most recently his works with plants and decorative pattern have been exhibited in New York, Santa Fe, Chicago, Honolulu and Japan. His works are in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Tate Galley.
